Steve honored ALEX LEVESQUE, founder of the Automotive Mentoring Group on Chicago’s South Side, as a Harvey’s Hero! Through Alex’s non-profit organization, teenagers in the Chicago area are taught how to restore old cars with the goal of keeping them off the streets. Steve surprised Alex with three of his mentees who want to thank him in person.

Thank you Steve Harvey and Quaker State for your support!

  • Financial Support
  • Material donations such as uniforms/personal care items/tools/automotive parts/etc.
  • Instructors experienced with automobile repair
  • Educators/tutors
  • Jobs for our mentees

We also need revenue making projects!  Commission us to restore your vehicle that has been sitting around waiting for you to get around to it! This is a great way to both support us and get your vehicle restored.  Or you could donate that project vehicle to AMG.

Make a pledge and say that you WILL donate to AMG!  This person will:
“I would definitely support this non-profit if I won Powerball.  In fact, I think I am going to search the net for additional programs like this one that aims to assist in showing kids that there is a life out there for them; one that is enriching, fulfilling, safe and legal.”

  6. Hello Alex, my name is Eric, Today i saw your interview on Steve Harvey’s program. just like you said, i felt like God had tapped me on the shoulder. i was overwhelmed and impressed, and I hadn’t heard of you. I own and auto repair shop in Burr Ridge that is struggling the last few years. This will be my 36th year in business, and I am an ASE certified master tech for cars and heavy duty trucks.I have been praying for a good outcome to my business career. Perhaps a connection thru God and you will help all of us. I would love to teach people willing to learn about cars. Over the years I have found a problem finding willing and qualified help. More than anything now, what i need is work. I am not afraid to be a mentor. I do know the business, and I can fix cars. I would love to talk to you about any possibility of working with you with my shop or becoming part of your team. God brings things to us, but we need to recognize them. I look forward to talking to you.
P.S. I have 2 cars that need to be restored.
    Thank You,
    Eric Nerad

  12. Hi. I have a 2 ton engine hoist and an engine stand that I would like to donate to AMG. Both are in VG/EXC condition. Would have to be picked up in Orland Park since I do not have a vehicle that can transport the engine hoist. Let me know…

  13. My husband bought me my dream car, a 1966 Mustang for my 40th birthday, it remains in our garage with 4 flat tires but I think it’s in pretty good shape- what do I know? Not much. Raising 5 kids, getting them through college and working as a full-time 9-1-1 operator just didn’t have car restoration in the cards. I’d love to have it restored. Things are still tight but I’d love to help you. I have no idea what it would cost. I’m involved in a lot of charity and community service, it’s critical to our world. I believe in your mission and would like to find ways to help you- not sure what that would look like but I’m very ambitious.

Thanks for the consideration and God bless you for your efforts and success!
